Mental Health Support Worker, Young People
Bromborough, Wirral
Full time 37.5 hours per week. Salary £24,570 – £25,662 per annum.
Must be a driver with a full manual UK licence. Service car available.
Responsibilities
* Promote independence and support daily living for young people, including meal preparation, shopping and prompting for self‑care.
* Assist with medication administration, medical appointments and general upkeep of the home.
* Update online care records, complete medication management and prepare report writing and audits.
* Manage incidents, de‑escalate challenging behaviours and maintain a therapeutic approach to self‑harm and mental health needs.
* Drive to transport young people to appointments, community activities and support car service as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full manual UK licence (must be manual).
* Good written communication; basic report writing and accurate record keeping.
* IT skills; comfortable using Microsoft Office and an online care system.
* Experience working with young people in a mental health setting (desirable).
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Care (desirable).
* Previous experience working in a team and understanding issues young people face.
