About the role
This is an exciting new role within Together for Children in preparation for the rollout of the Child Focused Courts model. The purpose is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children involved in private family law proceedings by delivering high‑quality, timely, and child‑focused assessments and interventions. The role ensures that the voice, wishes, and lived experiences of children are central to all court‑related work and decision‑making and that decisions are made in a timely manner.
You will work in line with the relevant policies and procedures in place within Together for Children and Sunderland Safeguarding Children’s Partnership, which support us to keep children and young people safe.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. We will also carry out an online internet search for publicly available information that might suggest you are not fit to work with children or young people.
We want you to apply if you are:
* Educated to degree level with an appropriate professional qualification in Social Work (BA Hons, MA SW, DipSw or CSS/CQSW)
* Currently registered with Social Work England
* Have experience in the family Courts
