We're looking for a technical, customer-focused 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join our Cloud and Devices Support team.
Reporting into the Cloud & Devices Support Team Leader, this opportunity requires an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking individual who can communicate clearly with our customers and provide first line ICT support.

Responsibilities, not limited to:
* Deliver exceptional 1st Line support to our customers by clearly communicating support and solutions and accurately logging customer support issues on our systems.
* Perform basic troubleshooting activities and provide a first-time fix.
* Escalate support incidents to 2nd & 3rd Line engineers when a first-time fix cannot be achieved within a reasonable timeframe.
* Ensure all customer interactions meet our agreed service benchmarks.
* Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
* Understand core Chess products and services and help identify up-sell opportunities across the range.
* Regularly achieve set targets and KPIs.
The Candidate:
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
* Reliable and hardworking.
* Organised and self-motivated.
* Great knowledge of basic technology products and services.
* Avid interest in personal development and a growth mindset regarding developing new skills.
* Basic understanding of PC hardware.
* Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office 365 end user skills.
* MCP certification would be beneficial but is not essential.
* Confidence to diagnose and fix customer issues.

Hours:
A standard week is 37½ Monday to Friday

Working location:
Mostly remote/working from home, with occasional travel to your local hub.
Allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home whilst also having the option to work from one of our many local hubs spread throughout the UK. Ad-hoc travel to offices within the group and other locations may be required on occasion.
