Job Description
I am partnering with a global law firm to find a Billing Coordinator for their London office. This role reports to an experienced Finance Manager and presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance biller to join a fantastic team.Day duties of the role:
* Promptly respond to billing-related emails and requests.
* Prepare, manage, and review client invoices.
* Process invoices using the Pre-bill viewer and make necessary edits.
* Handle a high volume of bills, especially during Collection Drive periods.
* Liaise with the e-billing team to reconcile client billing portals.
* Review billing documentation and requirements.
* Maintain organised invoice folders and internal documentation.
* Perform ad-hoc reporting on billing statistics and streamline and schedule regular client billing reports.
* Assist with special projects as needed.
* Provide billing cover during annual leave and absences.
* Support annual audits (Statutory, SRA, and Internal).
* Undertake ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities as required.
The right candidate will need:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in legal billing in a law firm.
* Strong interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction.
* Flexible, hands-on attitude.
* Team player with stakeholder relationship-building skills.
* Proficient in legal billing software (e.g., Aderant) and Windows programs.
* Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Autonomous worker.
* Excellent prioritisation and time management.
* Strong communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanour.
* Self-motivated, works well with minimal supervision.
* Organised with high attention to detail.
* VAT knowledge.
* Process improvement mindset.
* Collection experience is a plus.
* Quick learner of new software applications.
