Nagwa is excited to announce a series of intensive online classes for students preparing to take the 11+ exams in the UK as part of their application for grammar school entry. Our classes in verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English, and mathematics will run from mid-January 2024. We will be running two online live after-school teaching sessions a week (one hour each) for 11 weeks, and are now hiring outstanding freelance tutors with proven experience of 11+ exam-focussed tutoring.
Conducting online interactive sessions for students through the Nagwa Classes for Educators app to support learning.
Presenting our lesson materials in a clear and memorable way.
Running engaging activities to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Guiding students through a series of examples and dealing with their questions in the sessions.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher, and over two years of proven teaching or tutoring experience.
Previous experience tutoring students for the 11+ grammar school entrance exam is essential.
Tutors are needed for verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English and mathematics classes. Ideally, candidates would be able to teach all classes, but we would consider specialists in individual subjects.
Previous online tutoring experience is highly desirable.
Experience in differentiated instruction to cater for different learning needs and styles.
Flawless written and spoken English, and high levels of numeracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Accountability and ownership.
Compensation
This is a temporary, remote, freelance position aimed at candidates in the UK.
The compensation is £60 (GBP) per one-hour session delivered, billable on a monthly basis. This covers session preparation and delivery using the materials that we provide.
An additional payment based on 20% of student session attendance fees will be paid to tutors on completion of the course.
