Opportunity for a Geo-environmental Engineer in Northamptonshire
An opportunity has arisen to join a growing team of geotechnical and environmental engineers based in Northamptonshire. Our client is seeking a geo-environmental engineer with previous UK-based experience.

Position: Full-time
Main Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist and manage ground investigation work across the UK under the guidance of Senior Engineers. Responsibilities include:
1. Working as a geo-environmental / geotechnical professional with prior experience
2. Conducting work both outdoors and in the office throughout the year
3. Working on-site at various locations across the UK
4. Soil and rock logging in accordance with current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
5. Participating in diverse geotechnical and geo-environmental projects for external clients and internal teams
6. Preparing all types of factual and interpretative reports (desk studies, ground investigations, earthworks, remediation strategies, CMRA)
7. Supervising ground investigations, earthworks, and construction activities on-site
8. Gathering geological/geotechnical data and report writing
9. Managing site activities and subcontractors, preparing RAMS, and liaising with clients
Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes
* Minimum BSc in geology, geography, or environmental science
* Previous industry experience as a geo-environmental / geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist / site engineer
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; familiarity with Holebase is desirable
* Valid full clean driving license
* Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home occasionally
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong written English skills
* Enjoyment of outdoor work as well as office-based tasks
