Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Support children in daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal care.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and educators.
Document and report on the progress and needs of each child.
Engage in training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support children.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
