Litigation Solicitor – York
An established Legal 500 firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to focus on contentious trust and probate matters. The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a specialist team.
You will be dealing with a broad range of high-quality and complex cases, including (but not limited to):
* Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
* Challenges to the validity of Wills (capacity, undue influence, lack of knowledge and approval)
* Disputes concerning the proper administration of estates
* Interpretation and construction disputes relating to Wills (including rectification)
* Beneficial and resulting trust matters
* Claims under TOLATA 1996
* Undue influence and real estate fraud issues
* Claims based on proprietary estoppel
* Property and land disputes
* Mediations
* Professional negligence claims arising from defective estate planning
The team is recognised for its expertise in contentious trust and probate work and operates alongside well-established private client, property and agricultural departments.
What we are looking for:
* Solicitor with a civil litigation background with experience in contentious trust and probate and property-related disputes
* Litigation Solicitor with 5 + years' PQE/experience
* Demonstrate excellent client-care skills
* Be proactive, with a strong appetite for learning and professional development
* Offer a commercial and practical approach to delivering legal advice
