We’ve got a lovely early years setting in Gateshead looking for a confident Teaching Assistant to support children with complex needs. The team here are genuinely supportive, the kind who check in, help out, and celebrate the small wins together.
This is a hands-on role where your care, patience, and experience will make a real difference from day one.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day:
* Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with complex needs
* Using play-based learning to engage and support development
* Helping with personal care and daily routines
* Supporting sensory activities and structured learning
* Encouraging communication and social interaction
* Working closely with teachers and SEND staff
* Creating a safe, calm, and nurturing space

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
