Job Description You will support on a variety of different products covering Banking, Consumer Credit, and Retail and Business Savings. For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, Masterton Park or Northampton office. What you'll be doing The role is varied given the breadth of stakeholders and products you will support. It will involve working closely with other members of the wider team and directly with your stakeholders to provide specialist regulatory advice. Your main responsibilities will be: Supporting gap analysis against key policies, regulatory papers and best practice guidance to identify where risks or issues lie in our internal processes with a view to improving the application of regulations within Retail Products You'll support the creation of action plans on areas where improvements are required and keep relevant stakeholders, up to date on progress Provide subject matter expertise to projects, risk partners and stakeholders when queries arise relating to Retail Products regulatory adherence Support with reviews from Audit, Compliance, Chief Controls Office and our regulators and analysing feedback at a process and functional level, articulating findings to stakeholders Respond to challenges of additional and emerging risks and regulation, ensuring our products, policies and processes accurately reflect our regulatory position You will also: Advise business functions on all aspects of current and new regulation Need to be able to analyse data as you will be asked to review papers and packs with lots of complex data, particularly in relation to member outcomes and operational risks You'll need to be comfortable in questioning and understanding data to know if decisions are driving fair outcomes for our members About you We are looking for someone who is highly organised, enthusiastic, who has great stakeholder and time management skills. You will have knowledge of Retail Banking Regulation. As a minimum you'll have: Experience within financial services Experience working in a first line regulatory environment, with a good knowledge of the FCA handbook and the Regulations that impact Retail Products Experience in providing accurate and expert regulatory and risk advice Demonstrable ability to manage time effectively and display strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy A logical, inquisitive mind with an interest in regulations, policies and processes Experience in engaging and challenging business areas, supporting the management of relationships with colleagues A proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented approach Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently explain technical regulations and influence at senior levels Our Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
