What's involved with this role: Community Protection Enforcement Officer Job Ref: Walsall RQ1634849 Pay Rate: £18.36 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 hours per week, Monday– Saturday, on a rota Contract length: This opening assignment is for 2 months Location and postcode: Walsall, WS1 1TW Saturdays included in shift rota. - rest days are available following 6 days worked. You may be asked to work later shifts, with notice, if needed. Hybrid - when not patrolling, caseload to complete onsite/at home. Patrolling 3 days per week with occasional Saturday work once every 3 or 4 weeks. Uniform provided Basic DBS required Must have valid UK Driving Licence and the ability to use own vehicle. Will need Business Insurance on start date. The role: We are seeking a Community Protection Enforcement Officer to work under the supervision of a Team leader Community Protection, to deliver the Community Protection Service, in line with current corporate, national and regional policies and priorities. Key accountabilities: Through the day to day provision of a visible patrolling role deliver an enforcement and reassurance service for residents, businesses and visitors Deal with incidents, requests for service and enforcement related to licensing enforcement, environmental crime, statutory nuisance, certain elements of pollution, anti-social behaviour, highway enforcement and unauthorised encampments but this list is not exhaustive and may change from time to time Key requirements: An Enforcement background in antisocial behaviour, environmental crime, statutory nuisance, licencing enforcement. GSCE or equivalent of Maths and English Experienced in Face to face working experience and conflict resolution Excellent written communication and IT literate Physical ability to walk and patrol for 7 hours a day Must have valid UK Driving Licence and the ability to use own vehicle.
