Environmental Site Auditor
Location: Hybrid - Thames Valley, Home Counties, or London area
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

As an Environmental Site Auditor, you'll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, supporting operational teams, and driving continuous improvement across vital infrastructure sites.

What you'll be doing
* Conduct site environmental and permit compliance audits across a range of operational assets, including treatment works, pumping stations, and waste facilities.
* Support operational teams by providing training and guidance on Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
* Prepare and deliver clear, concise audit reports and action plans for operational managers.
* Highlight non‑compliances and work collaboratively to ensure timely resolution.
* Track and report on audit progress, risks, and key findings within your region.
* Assist teams with preparation for external and regulatory audits.
What we're looking for
Essential:
* Strong understanding of environmental legislation and permit compliance.
* Knowledge of wastewater pumping and treatment processes.
* Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing.
* Awareness of Health & Safety requirements for operational sites.
Desirable:
* Experience working with front‑line operational teams in utilities or environmental sectors.
* Background in ISO‑accredited management systems.
* Experience engaging with regulators on operational matters.
* Familiarity with sludge treatment processes or pollution prevention control.
* Qualification in an environmental or science‑related discipline.
* Auditing qualification and/or Power BI reporting skills.
