Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 6)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 within the existing urology specialist nurse team. This well established, experienced team will be available to offer support throughout.
Role Overview
As a Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), the post holder is responsible for providing appropriate specialist advice, support and education to patients within the Urology department. Although aligned to Urology there will be multidisciplinary team working required also with oncology teams and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Work autonomously alongside the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists to deliver high quality care to those with a Urological condition, their families/significant others and provide guidance, supervision and training to peers and junior members of staff both internal and external to the Trust, promoting seamless service within a multi-professional framework.
* Influence patient care through development of specialist skills, knowledge and experience; actively involved in monitoring and developing the service across the trust to ensure patients receive sustainable high quality care that is safe and effective through the audit process and patient feedback initiatives.
* Support the CNS teams in a variety of locations across Castle Hill Hospital, providing peer support and advice as the service demands dictate.
