Adult Speech & Language Therapy Assistant - Band 4
£32,199 - £34,876 Inclusive HCAS per annum pro rata
37.5 hours per week (full‑time); part‑time options considered.

Main Duties
* Support provision of ASLT Services to residents in Bromley.
* Carry out therapy programmes devised by qualified Speech and Language Therapists, including therapy groups.
* Work closely with patients, families and carers.
* Assist SLTs with communication books/charts, alternative communication technology and voice banking.
* Support the running of outpatient FEEs service.
* Support the service to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including triaging referrals.
Qualifications
* Good Literacy Verbal Skills.
* Current UK Driver’s Licence.
* GCSE A‑C Maths or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
* Basic Life Support.
* Manual Handling Training Course.
* Speech and Language Therapy Training.
* Experience working as an AHP assistant.
* Service development experience.
* Experience of MDT triage.
* Experience of using EMIS.
* Experience of databases and spreadsheets.
Experience
* Experience of working in an administration role.
* Experience of working with Speech and Language Therapists.
* Experience of working with adults with communication or swallowing difficulties.
* Experience of working in a team environment.
* Past experience of working in the health care environment.
* Experience working within MDT triage or FEEs service.
Specific Skills
* Ability to work independently or without direct supervision.
* Good standard of written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to prepare accurate written information and correspondence.
* Ability to communicate with adults who may have difficulties with understanding.
* Ability to prioritise own workload.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to travel around the community to support ASLT services and patients.
Information Technology
* Good skills with Microsoft Office.
* Good IT skills to input medical records, data on spreadsheets and to use online ordering systems.
* Ability to keep electronic records in a timely manner.
