Commercial Manager - Leisure Attraction - Up to GBP40,000 - Basingstoke
We are seeking a charismatic, customer-centric, operationally sound, and commercially astute leader to enhance the performance of a historic leisure attraction in Basingstoke. This role also serves as the number two for the venue.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coach and inspire service teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and capitalize on sales opportunities.
2. Maximize secondary spend across retail, food and beverage, and events through upselling, promotions, and special events.
3. Manage daily venue operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper functioning.
4. Oversee operations through seasonal peaks and troughs, ensuring optimal staffing to enhance customer experience and revenue.
5. Act as General Manager in their absence, including every other weekend.
6. Assist the General Manager in developing strategies to improve commercial performance.
7. Develop and evolve the role further, with ongoing mentoring and development for future advancement to General Manager and beyond.

The Person:
1. Outstanding leadership skills with experience in coaching, developing, inspiring, influencing, and driving team performance.
2. Experience in service and operational management within busy leisure, tourism, entertainment, visitor attraction, retail, or hospitality sectors, possibly as Deputy/General Manager, Operations Manager, or Venue Manager.
3. Proven ability to drive ancillary income through proactive customer service.
4. Experience managing budgets and income/expenditure lines.
5. Own transportation or living locally to Basingstoke.
6. Willing to work occasional evenings for events and every other weekend.
7. Ideally interested in arts, heritage, and culture, and passionate about community enrichment.
