We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Lunchtime Assistant to join our friendly, caring school community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support children during one of the most important parts of their day. We are a welcoming, inclusive primary school with a strong sense of community and a commitment to nurturing every child.
About the Role
You will help supervise pupils while they eat their lunch and support positive, safe play on the playground during the lunch break. You will work under the supervision of the Deputy Headteacher and be part of a supportive team dedicated to children’s wellbeing.

1. Be a well-organised, reliable and supportive team player

3. Engage warmly with pupils to create a safe, happy and inclusive lunchtime environment
4. Encourage positive behaviour, good manners and respect for others
5. Support children’s social development through play and interaction
6. Be confident in supervising groups of children both indoors and outdoors
7. Respond calmly and effectively to minor incidents and help children resolve disagreements
8. Promote safe play and ensure children follow school expectations
9. Communicate clearly and positively with pupils, staff and the wider school community
10. Show initiative and be proactive in supporting both pupils and colleagues
11. Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion

Hours & Contract
17. Permanent position
18. 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
19. Term time only
20. Working hours will be confirmed but will fall between 11:30am and 1:00pm (1 hour per day)
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to follow the relevant safeguarding procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance, and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
