We are seeking an experienced and resilient Social Worker to join our busy and supportive Court Team in Torbay.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of statutory child protection, managing complex court proceedings and achieving timely, positive outcomes for children and families.
About the Role:
As a Court Team Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of children subject to care proceedings and pre-proceedings, ensuring that all assessments, care planning, and court work are completed to a high professional standard.
You will work closely with legal services, guardians, and partner agencies, providing clear, analytical evidence to the court to support best outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage cases within care proceedings and Public Law Outline (PLO).
* Complete high-quality assessments, statements, and care plans for court.
* Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations within court proceedings.
* Work in partnership with families to promote safe and sustainable outcomes.
* Attend court hearings and give professional evidence when required.
* Contribute to permanency planning, including rehabilitation, kinship care, or alternative permanent arrangements.
