Role Purpose: As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate monthly management accounts while collaborating closely with teams across the business. Your contributions will drive continuous improvement and influence key operational and strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. Partner with Account and Commercial Managers to produce the essential Contract Performance Review monthly. Analyse and interpret financial performance, delivering clear, actionable insights for senior management reviews. Collaborate with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and FP&A teams to ensure smooth financial operations. Support the Finance Director and Financial Controller in developing detailed budgets and rolling cash forecasts. Continuously enhance financial systems, controls, and reporting processes for improved accuracy and compliance. Ensure robust financial governance aligned with internal policies and external regulations. Assist with audit preparation and serve as a liaison with external auditors, particularly regarding Revenue Recognition. Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Experience: Proven experience in a similar management accounting role. Strong track record of analysing financial data and presenting insights clearly. Experience in fast-paced or evolving environments; construction industry exposure is a plus. Solid understanding of financial control and accounting best practises. Skills & Attributes: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 15 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. Commercially astute, solutions-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
