Job Purpose
The main purpose of the role is to deliver high quality teaching sessions in food and beverage management. The person should have an in depth understanding of food and beverage operations and substantial experience in delivering undergraduate taught modules.
This is an hourly-paid role, and we offer a competitive package for the delivery of a Food and Beverage management module. The module is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2026, and it will be delivered in the evenings.
Duties and responsibilities
* Teach in line with pre-agreed module content and learning outcomes set by the programme director.
* Apply current industry knowledge and professional expertise to enhance student learning and engagement.
* Ensure the module delivery complies with quality standards and regulations of the company.
* Use relevant learning technology (e.g., VLE such as Engage and a software related to Food and Beverage Management) to support student learning.
* Assess and mark coursework in accordance with the Institute’s assessment criteria.
* Deal with any module queries and ensure feedback is provided to students on performance in accordance with the Institute’s guidelines.
* Work collaboratively with the programme director to ensure consistency in content delivery and assessment.
* Ensure attendance at all learning and teaching opportunities by students is monitored as required and ensure coursework submission for the module is monitored.
Essential Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
* Professional experience in food and beverage operations
* Teaching experience in higher or further education (desirable)
A teaching qualification (e.g. FHEA, PGCert in HE)
