About The Role

If so, we are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team and help shape our architectural landscape. In this role, you will play a vital part in how we deliver and improve our business solutions. The opportunity includes working within a team of Solution Architects that cover the broad scope of EDF’s customer business units, owning the technology roadmap for your domain, engaging with business stakeholders, and defining end‑to‑end solutions that align with our architectural principles.
Pay, Benefits And Culture
Alongside a base salary starting from £75,000, depending on experience, you could earn a 5% bonus, 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a market‑leading pension scheme, and a range of flexible benefits. These include electric vehicle leasing, enhanced parental leave, health insurance, discounts and employee pricing. Flexible working means you can work from home (if you wish). You’ll also be invited to travel to our offices across the UK as required.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Take ownership and develop the architectural roadmap within a specific business domain, keeping up with new technologies, market trends, and business needs.
* Be a key player in change delivery projects, working closely with the project team to implement technical changes that align with business goals.
* Ensure cost transparency and a value‑focused mindset when it comes to the technical aspects of meeting business capabilities.
* Collaborate with other change agents to drive excellence across our business capabilities, sharing knowledge and ideas.
* Act as an informed buyer of technology, evaluating and recommending new solutions from the market.
* Lead Proof of Concepts, technology trials, and proof‑of‑value activities, gaining approval for innovative ideas.
* Collaborate with software engineers to build cloud‑native solutions.
* Own and manage the architectural roadmap for your domain.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of developing and maintaining solution roadmaps to support business capabilities. You will be able to deliver architectural design, oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle, and have presented to and influenced senior operational stakeholders on solution approaches and choices. You will be proactive, engaging stakeholders at all levels to translate technology concepts into business value terms. Curiosity, creativity, and a mindset that embraces continual learning are essential. Experience managing multiple initiatives in parallel and making prioritisation choices is required. Experience defining architectural designs within an AWS‑native and SaaS construct is desirable. If you have architecting experience in a cloud‑native context, we’d love to hear from you.
