Job Title: Driver / Catering AssistantOverview: We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Driver / Catering Assistant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a varied role combining driving duties with hands-on catering and customer service responsibilities. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive environment where your contribution is valued and recognised, with opportunities for growth and development.Contract Details:Working pattern: Monday to ThursdayShift: 05:30 – 15:30 (including a 1-hour break)Contract: 50.2 weeks per yearRole Responsibilities:Driving Duties:Collect the site vehicle at 05:30 each working daySafely transport team members, picking up staff at approximately 06:00Ensure timely drop-off of staff to the workplaceReturn staff at 14:30, concluding driving duties safely and efficientlyMaintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicleAdhere to all road safety and company driving policiesCatering & Customer Service Duties:Prepare fresh, high-quality food that meets company standardsCreate attractive food displays and maintain a clean, welcoming counter areaDeliver excellent customer service at all timesHandle transactions and operate the cash register accuratelyUphold strict food hygiene and safety standardsMaintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety regulationsRepresent the organisation positively in all interactionsAbout You:Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethicPassion for delivering outstanding customer serviceA team player who thrives in a busy environmentReliable, punctual, and well-organisedAbility to manage time effectively across driving and catering dutiesStrong awareness of safety in both driving and food handlingPrevious catering or similar experience is desirable but not essentialPart of Compass Group UK&I, ESS is the Defence, Government, and Energy services sector of Compass Group UK & Ireland.
