About the role
We are excited to be looking for an incredibly driven and passionate sales person to join the team as we evolve into 2024. With the introduction of exciting new meeting space and refurbished bedrooms, it is the perfect time for the right person to join Harbour Hotel and become a key part of the Brighton scene.
This role may be suitable for someone from a sales background who may be a first-time director of sales or coming from a non-hotel background but knows the Brighton market. Please do apply.
The main focus of the role is to drive new business from the corporate, leisure, and M&E markets into the hotel, while managing existing accounts and clients to continue growing the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing an understanding of the local hotel market to grow corporate accounts in rooms and M&E business, including handling local RFPs and new accounts.
2. Negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits.
3. Producing accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the Harbour Group Sales team and Hotel GM.
4. Participating in regular sales meetings with the local office and national teams.
5. Contributing to the annual budgeting process for the Corporate and M&E segments.
6. Completing and executing a hotel sales plan, reviewing and updating it according to strategy and business needs.
7. Maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of target accounts through direct contact, the Sales Managers, and the hotel.
