We are looking for committed individuals who are keen to join the world of hospital pharmacy and our friendly teams, to make a difference to patient care, who are at the heart of everything in the pharmacy.
We currently have Part time opportunities at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester, and Part & Full time at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
You will often be the first point of contact for health care professionals across the hospital and members of the public using our service. You must be self-motivated, able to pay attention to detail, be able to work to deadlines and have strong communication skills.
Main duties of the job
* You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team working closely with Pharmacists, Technicians and other Assistants.
* You will have the opportunity as part of the assistant role to work in all aspects of the pharmacy.
* All of these duties require a high level of accuracy, an ability to work efficiently within each designated team, and flexibility to undertake varied tasks within your working day.
* Picking, packing and assembling medicines in stock distribution.
* Pharmacy stores receiving and processing orders.
* Manning the reception within the dispensary, speaking to both staff and patients and dealing with queries.
* Supplying medicines to wards and departments by means of a top-up.
* Duties within our sterile preparation suites.
* Delivery of medication to wards and departments.
* Replenishing specialist emergency boxes.
* Participate in established Bank Holiday and Weekend Rotas until the introduction of 7 day working when contracted hours will be undertaken over 7 days.
* Part Time hours will be paid pro-rata.
