💛 About the Coastal Outreach Team

Our outreach service provides bespoke, psychologically informed support to adults with mental health needs, neurodiversity, or the effects of trauma. Many people we support have experienced long hospital stays or unstable accommodation, and we focus on helping them thrive safely within the community.

Support is flexible, collaborative, and always aligned with the individual’s goals. The role involves limited weekend working as part of a rota across the team.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our outreach team, you will:

* Deliver a person‑centred service that promotes independence.
* Complete dynamic risk assessments and co‑produce personalised support plans.
* Provide practical and emotional support in people’s homes and local communities.
* Promote wellbeing, resilience, and social inclusion.
* Support with daily living skills, confidence‑building, accessing appointments, and meaningful activities.
* Use therapeutic de‑escalation or crisis‑intervention techniques when needed.
* Manage risk appropriately and respond to changes in an individual’s needs.
* Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company and national policies.
* Travel across Worthing and surrounding areas — a driving licence and access to a car are essential.

🌼 What We’re Looking For

We are seeking Support Workers who are:

* Compassionate, patient, and motivated to support people with complex mental health needs.
* Confident in addressing or challenging inappropriate or negative behaviours positively.
* Experienced in (or open to learning) therapeutic de‑escalation and crisis intervention.
* Able to adapt to changing support needs and manage deadlines.
* Engaging and skilled at encouraging participation and independence.
* Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office.
* A car driver with access to a vehicle (essential for outreach travel).

Desirable:

Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions in community settings.

✨ Ready to support people across the coastal community to live independently?

We’d love to hear from you.
