Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated; relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time position based at Kilmarnock Academy within the William McIlvanney Campus, Kilmarnock. The role is until 28 June 2026, working 7 hours per week under the line manager's direction. The full-time salary range is £40,305 - £50,589 annually; the part-time salary is proportionally £8,061 - £10,118 annually. For further information, contact Elaine Wilson at East Ayrshire Council.
