Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Follow internal and external processes for tasks, reporting, and change management.
* Support Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
* Review engineering technical documentation peer-wise.
* Assist or lead in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
* Attend customer meetings as needed.
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and expenses.
* Align certifications and training with business objectives.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies.
Who you are:
The ideal candidate will be intrigued by Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in a medium to large support environment, with On-premise Cloud Services experience being advantageous.
* Certifications such as MCSA, VCP 6.x-DCV (desirable), LPIC-2 (desirable)
* Knowledge of Networking, SQL Server, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, Exchange, VMware vCloud Director
* Leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, problem-solving passion, and ability to work independently or in a team
