We are recruiting for an Installation Technician for a leading IT service provider based in Cardiff to deliver desktop hardware installation services in a dynamic environment.

Role Overview
As an Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for setting up and installing hardware for our clients, including desktops and associated peripherals. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of equipment, ensuring smooth connectivity and functionality.
This role involves
* Unboxing and installing desktop kits at client desks.
* Connecting peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice, printers).
* Managing power and network cables and ensuring proper connections.
* Performing power-on self-tests to ensure devices are working correctly.
* Starting automated builds and executing basic, scripted post-login configurations.
What We Need
* Technical Skills: You don’t need to be a full-on IT expert, but you should have basic technical knowledge and an interest in working with hardware.
* Attention to Detail: Ensuring installations are done to specification, without missing any steps.
* Team Player: Collaborating with other technicians and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
* Adaptability: Ready to work flexible shifts based on business needs.
This is an umbrella contract; the role is Inside IR35.
