Legionella Plumber Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 DOE Location: Field-Based (Commercial, Industrial & Residential Sites) Type: Permanent | Full-Time I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Legionella Plumber to join one of our long-standing compliance partners. This role involves carrying out plumbing remedial work and system modifications to ensure full compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS 8580-1:2019 across a range of client sites. Key Responsibilities: Plumbing & Remedial Works * Carry out Legionella-related remedial works (dead leg removal, TMV servicing, pipework modifications) * Install, repair, and maintain domestic and commercial hot & cold water systems * Undertake tank replacements, pipe rerouting, valve installations, and system upgrades * Conduct flow balancing, leak repairs, and pressure testing Water Hygiene Support * Work closely with Water Hygiene Engineers and Risk Assessors * Assist with chlorination and water system disinfection * Install, set up, and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) * Identify and rectify non-compliant plumbing issues affecting water hygiene Compliance & Reporting * Ensure all remedial work meets ACoP L8 and HSG274 standards * Maintain accurate records of all work completed * Conduct inspection-based reporting on system risks and non-compliance * Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams where required Health & Safety * Follow all site safety procedures and PPE requirements * Comply with risk assessments and health & safety policies * Identify and report potential hazards on site Requirements: Essential: * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent) * Experience working within water hygiene / Legionella environments * Strong understanding of ACoP L8 & HSG274 regulations * Full UK driving licence * Strong technical and problem-solving skills Desirable: * Experience with TMV servicing & closed water systems * City & Guilds or similar Legionella Control qualification * G3 Unvented qualification (advantageous but not essential) * Familiarity with fire safety-related water systems This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong plumber looking to further specialise in water compliance and Legionella control, with long-term development and progression potential
