Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Blossoms Care Home.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Registered Home Manager in the day to day running of the care Home.
Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalised care plans and support.
You will play a vital role in supervising staff, leading by example, supporting the Home Manager with Care Plans and Risk Assessments all whilst ensuring that all care standards are met.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
* Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Supervise junior staff members, offering guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any concerns.
* Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and participate in regular reviews of care plans.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
* Leadership abilities to supervise staff and foster a positive working environment.
* Experience in senior care or a similar setting is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care.
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 preferred
* Previous Deputy role experience or a Team Leader looking to step up.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
