Job description requirements
* Carry out work activities which are both routine and non-routine.
* Carry out new works, repairs and routine planned maintenance activities to mechanical and heating, hot and cold-water plant, equipment and services.
* Carry out reactive work requests, minor new installation requests and weekly planned preventative maintenance dockets efficiently.
* Escort contractors carrying out inspections, installations
* Strictly adhere to the relevant policies and procedures, maintain tool lists and comply with Health and Safety and Security Regulations.
Qualification
* minimum NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration or mechanical services
* Specialised in a mechanical service (i.e. Gas, refrigeration, heat pumps)
* Water safety Training
Experience
* Experience with all types of mechanical, ventilation or gas installations and maintenance
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
* Worked within NHS environment
Other
* Ability to interact at all levels.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Computer literate
* Current driving license
* May be required to participate in the Department’s out of hours on call system
