Senior / Principal Structural Engineer - Building Structures – Permanent – London. £50,000 - £70,000 + Annual Bonus. This nationwide Building Structures Engineering consultancy are seeking a Principal level Structural Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities
* Act as the lead consultant on projects providing C&S representation and input at key stages of the project to other members of the project team.
* Ensure that the C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and specifically to your team.
* Represent the company at both internal and external meetings.
* Develop engineering concepts and communicate them to clients, architects and staff in meetings, and autonomously progress Structural/Civil Engineering designs for projects through various project stages.
* Apply analysis techniques for the preparation of calculations for all elements within structures and manage the preparation of such calculations by junior staff.
* Break down complex structures into individual components to allow for element design and effectively communicate this to colleagues.
Qualifications
* Desire to build on existing experience and knowledge of civil and structural engineering design.
* Ability to mentor junior staff.
* Experience developing Structural/Civil Engineering designs for projects through various project stages.
* Comfortable developing engineering concepts and communicating them to clients, architects and staff in meetings.
