We have an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR TRADE SALES ADVISOR - BUILDERS MERCHANTS to join the team at the ACOCKS GREEN branch of an independent chain of Builders Merchants with depots across the Midlands supplying both Trade and Retail. This is a senior role in the branch with a growing customer base of independent builders, construction SME’s and civils contractors. Starting salary will be entirely dependent on experience but is anticipated in the region of £38-41k. As the SENIOR TRADE SALES ADVISOR - BUILDERS MERCHANTS you will quickly become involved in: * Leading a team of 8 including sales counter, yard and delivery drivers * Ensure the highest level of customer service across the whole customer base * Drive volume sales and profitability with trade customers * Nurture and develop key customers relationships * Convert customer enquiries into sales by engaging in-branch and remotely * Produce quotes and process sales orders * Proactively identify and develop potential new customers * Plan and coordinate deliveries using two vehicles and in house drivers * Work closely with group transport and warehouse functions * Champion health and safety on a site wide basis * Promote and maintain safe working practices across the site To secure an interview as a SENIOR TRADE SALES ADVISOR - BUILDERS MERCHANTS we need to see the following expertise represented on your cv: * A track record of achievement selling building materials within the construction sector is essential * Selling and leading sales teams in a builder’s merchants, DIY shed, construction or a similar trade environment. * A sound understanding of the building trade, civils and heavy side marketplaces * Excellent communication skills at all levels both face to face and on the phone * A self-motivated problem solver who enjoys exceeding targets * Coordinating customer deliveries ideally with inhouse vehicles and drivers * Health and Safety. This SENIOR TRADE SALES ADVISOR - BUILDERS MERCHANTS position will ideally suit someone who has worked in a similar position selling general building supplies, civils or heavy side products to or within the UK construction sector targeting independent builders, SME’s and even corporates. While this is still a fledgling branch within the group, sales growth has been such that significant investment is already underway to upscale the operation which will, undoubtedly, offer significant opportunity for CAREER DEVELOPMENT withing the next two years.
