The successful candidate will work within the PSL Department and will be registered as a Modern Apprentice. You will study towards a nationally recognised Scottish Vocational Qualification certificate which will involve structured on and off the job training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete Modern Apprenticeship in Press - Flexographic Printing Pathway to eventually run state of the art printing presses - RCS & Omet
* Complete relevant units set by Attain Training (external training provider) in a timely manner and ensure all records and logbooks of work performed are maintained
* Ensure quality checks are carried out efficiently
* General machine maintenance
What We're Looking For:
* Computer literate
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
* Be self-motivated and able to use initiative
* Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal
* Be computer literate
* Have good attention to detail
* Be able to work unsupervised and able to resolve problems/identify and implement improvements
Please note, this role involves shift work.
