As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our pupils, guiding their learning journeys in ways that are bespoke to each individual. You’ll help prepare learning materials, lead small groups, and provide hands-on support for both academic and personal development. Beyond the classroom, you’ll support pupils’ emotional and physical needs, fostering confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Who We’re Looking For
1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent HLTA qualification)
2. GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
3. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a SEND setting
4. Adaptable, patient, and caring, with the ability to work across a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors
5. Confident in supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs, and capable of leading activities or supervising exploration as required
6. Full UK Driving Licence

Overton School provides specialist education for young people aged 7–18 within a nurturing and therapeutic setting. We support autistic individuals, as well as those with learning disabilities and other complex needs.
Located in the beautiful Shropshire countryside near Ludlow, our Victorian school building has been thoughtfully adapted to meet the diverse needs of up to 45 pupils, offering dedicated learning spaces for bespoke educational pathways.
