Role Overview
The Service Delivery Engineer will be part of the Managed Service Team within the Services & Solution Centre (SSC) Division of Panasonic Connect Toughbook UK. The role holder will demonstrate technical project management skills in capturing detailed customer requirements to be transferred and implemented into our mobile computing deployment operation. The role consists of daily communication with multiple stakeholders across Europe to deliver customer requirements within a robust timescale, whilst being cost effective.
The Service Delivery Engineer will work alongside a talented, diverse and dedicated team of Professional Engineers, Sales Managers and Operations teams to ensure successful outputs of our products. The role holder will adhere to our existing policy, procedures and processes with a requirement for having basic knowledge of hardware and software solutions to complement the Rugged mobile computing world.
How you will become part of the bigger picture...
As part of our team, you will:
1. Design, develop and build support processes and (or) products to include testing, troubleshooting, training and ongoing support.
2. Create technical engineering documentation – analyses needs of customer and or sales requirements and develops these into technical specifications to meet the needs of the project.
3. Project manage and work with various stakeholders throughout the business to include provision of all appropriate resources and budget allocation and tracking, provide regular updates to all stakeholders in line with project milestones.
4. Plan and schedule work and projects within our manufacturing environment to ensure availability of resource in line with project plans and milestones.
5. Coordinate and provide appropriate communication on all levels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full understanding of project stages and requirements leading to successful project outcomes.
6. Keep up to date with new technology and approaches within the market to highlight future opportunities and refinements to current offerings.
7. Support the launch of new product projects and provide support for any issues that arise.
8. Continuously grow and focus on personal development using the Panasonic Leadership Principles
What you will bring to the picture..
9. 2 to 4 years of relevant Engineering or Project Management experience in the field
10. An Engineering or Project management degree
11. An Engineering or Scientific qualification or equivalent practical and vocational knowledge
12. Experience of Project Management Methodology and Project Delivery
13. Communication and stakeholder relationship skills
14. Face to face customer service experience
15. Knowledge of manufacturing practices
16. Knowledge of hardware/software IT solutions
17. Ability to introduce new products
18. Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and back-end software
19. A high degree of judgment and problem-solving capability
20. Excellent communication skills whilst dealing with a wide variety of people, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and management.
