We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to join our STARS team in Huddersfield. This role is 24 hours per week, to be worked Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with an annual salary of £18,917. As a Housing Support Worker at our Substance, Tenancy, and Resettlement Service (STARS), you will work in partnership with the people we support to devise a tailored support plan and support them in achieving their individual goals. This may include helping them to access welfare and supporting them to attend any appointments. You will also be responsible for housing management, the welfare of the people we support, undertaking welfare checks and following safeguarding policies. What you will need: Be empathetic and caring, showing understanding and respect to people experiencing difficult circumstances Have excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to recognise the people we support as experts in their own lives Be resilient and adaptable with the ability to think on your feet, prioritise tasks, and make sound decisions in line with our procedures Be personable and kind, with the ability to go above and beyond whilst maintaining professional boundaries Have a commitment to your ongoing personal and professional development Please note this role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle which can be insured for business use.
