A Senior Residential Care officer is required at Lord Hardy Court to work with Parkhill Lodge Learning Disability service on a permanent basis.
The post holder will:-
Manage the coordination and delivery of the Learning Disability Service
Manage the services rotas and instigate further developments; ensuring that in-house systems and monthly audits are used by all appropriate staff members to achieve the most efficient and effective use of resources.
Assist in the overall development and management of the service in accordance with the Council’s policies
Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each resident and ensure that they are the primary focus and promote self-advocacy and/or to advocate on their behalf
Manage a team of key workers and oversee the implementation of care packages, including the formulation and implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of care plans.
Plan for and supervise the delivery of care packages working in co-operation with other professionals and agencies.
Manage, supervise and engage in the day-to-day care practice and activities of the home to include: planning and participating in activities, ensure the health care and training needs of all residents are addressed, promoting safeguarding.
Manage and deploy staff and resources efficiently and effectively, ensure that agreed minimum staffing levels are maintained and provide formal supervision of all staff including identifying training needs.
Ensure the effective and safe storage, recording, handling and administration of medicines.
Manage, audit, and participate in the completion of relevant records and reports using both written and electronic communication. These will include Care Plans, Risk Assessments, Daily Records, Financial Documents, Complaints Processing, Reports for Reviews and Timesheets.
