About Aspire Academy
Blackpool Aspire Academy opened in 2014 following the merger of Bispham High School and Collegiate High School. It moved into its current building in 2015, sharing an entrance with Highfurlong School. The school is sponsored by FCAT.
The academy’s motto is: “Success, nothing less!” It encourages pupils to achieve their potential in a stimulating environment, guided by the six core values of ASPIRE: achievement, success, progress, inspiration, resilience, and enriched opportunities. Respect and kindness are essential parts of the school community.
Students are supported to pursue their goals, with numerous extracurricular activities and academic clubs to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Ofsted reports that pupils are well-prepared for next steps, with a comprehensive careers strategy and leadership opportunities like pupil parliament representatives, helping to prepare them for the future. Since opening, the proportion of pupils moving on to education, employment, or training has significantly increased.
