We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company within the manufacturing sector, for a hands-on Maintenance and Production Technician. This role is split between supporting production operations and carrying out maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities for a Maintenance and Production Technician:
* Perform basic mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment
* Respond to breakdowns and support fault finding
* Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Support day-to-day production operations to maintain efficiency
* Help install or modify machinery where required
* Maintain basic maintenance records
* Help on the shop floor with production operative duties such as Drilling and Sawing.
Key Skills for a Maintenance and Production Technician:
* Hands-on mechanical or maintenance experience desirable
* Background in manufacturing, production, or similar environment
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
* Basic understanding of mechanical systems
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
