Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. Duties
* Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting.
* Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
* Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring each child's needs are met.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem through supportive interactions.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Requirements
* Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and parents.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organised environment.
* Leadership qualities that inspire trust and confidence among children and colleagues alike.
* A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities.
