This is an exciting opportunity to work for a GOOD fostering agency in the pivotal role of Fostering Administrator and Birmingham Foster Carer Association (BFCA) Coordinator. This post is a full-time post that is split between being the part time coordinator for BFCA who an independent charity working alongside Birmingham Fostering Agency in ensuring our foster carers have support and advice. The remaining hours will be working part-time for Birmingham fostering agency as an Administrator. You will providing business support services to the dual role.
The applicant should have excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills. The role will require good communication with foster carers, professionals, and stakeholders. It is an advantage for a candidate to understand the role of a foster carer and/or has experience of supporting committees or charities.
Both aspects of the role will require someone with various skills in IT literacy such as word, excel, publisher, etc. They will also need to be competent in completing tasks ranging from supporting with placement requests, organising buddy groups, maintaining spreadsheets, writing correspondence, creating newsletters and social media content, minute taking, coordinating agendas, progress tracking, and communicating with all of Birmingham foster carers.
This is a Hybrid model of remote working which involves working a minimum of 2 days per week in our offices based at either Aston or Stirchley.
