Social Worker – Emergency Duty Team (EDT), Specialising in Children’s Care, Based in Cheltenham, UK, Earning £41 Hourly. This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time, three-month locum position. We are seeking a dynamic and flexible senior social worker who is ready to take on the evening and weekend shifts. Work within the Emergency Duty Team, which caters to both adults and children with a specific focus on children’s care. This role does not involve the AMHP responsibilities for Gloucestershire’s EDT. What you will do:
* Respond to emergency safeguarding situations involving children, young people, and vulnerable adults during out-of-hours periods.
* Utilise a wide range of skills and sound judgment to assess situations and make crucial decisions under pressure.
* Coordinate with a variety of agencies to ensure a holistic approach to client welfare and safety.
* Work collaboratively within a small team to maintain effective communication and support.
* Be available and adaptable to cover evening and weekend shifts, ensuring readiness to tackle spontaneous challenges.
