We currently have
an opportunity for a Millwright at our Barrhead, AB. As a Millwright, you are responsible for providing maintenance support to maximize production and supply quality product to our customers.
Responsibilities:
* Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
* Design, fabrication of parts to change equipment when necessary
* Use steam trap analysis including repairs to steam related equipment
* Maintain and update all schematics after work has been completed that pertain to the Mill
* Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
* Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
* Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance
* Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing ad pipe fitting skills
* Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation, boiler water treatment, and RO monitoring
* Monday to Friday work schedule
* Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
* Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
* Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required
* Welding experience considered an asset
