We are expanding our team in ED Reception at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust, looking for an enthusiastic, well‑motivated individual to join our busy Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
* Flexible to cover colleagues’ shifts for annual leave and sickness.
* Use the Patient Administration System; keyboard skills essential.
* Work 15 hours per week over a 24‑hour period, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
* Subject to a Standard DBS Check.
Person specification
* GCSE level education or equivalent experience.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
* NVQ 2 in Customer Service.
Knowledge and Experience
* Good knowledge of administrative systems.
* Experience dealing with customers and complaints.
* Previous NHS experience.
* Knowledge of Medway or other Patient Administrative System.
Skills
* Prioritise workload.
* Initiative in patient enquiries.
* Organisational and detail‑oriented.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understands confidentiality.
