Job Description
* Lead the planning and implementation of projects from scope definition to execution, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
* Ensure import and export shipments conform to governmental rules and regulations by managing inquiries and requests from brokers, forwarders, manufacturing sites, and distribution centers to facilitate efficient and compliant movement of HydraForce products and components.
* Identify areas for process improvement in customs and trade compliance-related international transactions.
* Support continuous improvement and trade automation opportunities.
* Manage HydraForce's Customs and Trade Compliance record-keeping program.
* Assist in developing, implementing, and updating standard operating procedures and work instructions.
* Support the Trade Compliance Manager with compliance activities and cover in their absence.
* Assign and review Harmonized Tariff Codes (HTS), update master data, and maintain customs broker databases.
* Assist with the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) program.
* Maintain broker and customs agency reports and KPIs.
* Support the development and maintenance of customs and trade compliance processes and training activities.
* Manage review and approval of customs broker invoices.
* Evaluate and mitigate potential customs and trade compliance risks.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in international trade compliance regulations and procedures, both import and export.
* Customs Brokerage experience preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of HTS classification within UK, US, Europe, and global markets.
* General knowledge of export controls (UK, Europe, US).
* Experience working with multinational teams and effective communication skills across diverse audiences and formats.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to analyze complex problems and incorporate data from various sources.
* Proven ability to define strategies, develop actionable plans, and manage their implementation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Capable of working independently and collaboratively with some management oversight.
* Willingness to research and self-educate on global trade compliance issues.
