ABC Teachers is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a dynamic Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Redditch. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people who may have experienced exclusion, trauma, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
About the role
You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. You will build trusted relationships and help pupils overcome barriers to learning through consistent, calm, and trauma-informed support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting learners aged 11–16 who may present with challenging behaviour or complex emotional needs
* Supporting de-escalation using restorative and therapeutic approaches
* Promoting emotional regulation, confidence, and self-esteem in a nurturing environment 🌱
* Working closely with pastoral teams, counsellors, and external agencies to ensure holistic support

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Experience in SEND Setting
