Are you an electrically biased maintenance engineer looking to make your next move in a regulated environment? This is a rare opportunity to join a global organisation with a long established facility in the Ayrshire area. Due to continued investment we are seeking a hands on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the site Facilities & Control of Work Team.
You’ll benefit from a stable and structured environment while contributing to the upkeep and development of a highly regulated manufacturing facility.
The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing site electrical systems across a wide range of infrastructure. You’ll take ownership of tasks that support day-to-day operations, improvement projects and contractor activities, always with a strong focus on safety, compliance and site standards.
Responsibilities include:
Closing out all facility related electrical defects (lighting and small power)
Supporting production areas to ensure all electrical systems meet regulatory and audit standards
Troubleshooting CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems
Leading and sponsoring electrical works through contractor control and maintenance planning
Supporting purchasing and procurement processes (e.g., POs, PRs, SAP)
Managing and tracking site facilities maintenance issues (iObeya)
Supporting and owning Capex-related electrical workstreams
Carrying out PAT testing and maintaining compliance records
Owning and implementing all facility electrical isolations from design to completion
About You
You’ll be an experienced and hands on electrical professional who thrives in a regulated or complex facilities environment. You’ll need to be confident in maintenance planning, project work and safe systems of work with an eye for continuous improvement.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Electrical Engineering experience in facilities or industrial maintenance
City & Guilds Level 3 Installation & Maintenance and 18th Edition (BS 7671)
Experience in planned maintenance and electrical compliance
Familiarity with site services such as HVAC, BMS, CCTV, and small works
Confidence using Microsoft Office and ideally SAP
