Our Bournemouth SPOC (Single Point of Contact) Service provides free and confidential support to people with alcohol and substance use issues, focusing on those aged 50 plus. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing caseloads, care planning, risk management, and supporting clients to achieve personal goals. We deliver harm minimisation interventions and psychosocial support, including preparation and aftercare planning for referrals to detoxification and residential rehabilitation programs.
Recovery Workers help clients identify their goals, create tailored treatment plans, and support their recovery journey. This is a frontline role involving care coordination, intervention delivery, and partnership working. You will manage an active caseload, build respectful relationships, and support clients in their recovery process.
This full-time fixed-term role lasts until 16/07/2026, with hours of 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work. The salary is £24,570 per annum.
Ideal candidates will be compassionate, motivated, and experienced in health, social care, criminal justice, or related fields, particularly with substance misuse. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of assessment, care planning, substance issues, rehabilitation, and therapeutic approaches such as solution-focused brief therapy or motivational interviewing is required.
