Job Description:
CK Group is recruiting for an R&D Manager to join a chemicals manufacturing company at their site in Stoke on a full-time, permanent basis. The salary is £40,000 per annum.
The Company:
Our client is a leader in the global manufacture of specialty materials, developing and manufacturing pigments and nanomaterials.
Location:
The R&D Manager will be based at the company's site in Stoke, which is easily accessible from surrounding areas.
Your main duties will include:
* Developing new, innovative products
* Exploring new chemistries aligned with the company's strategic goals
* Developing analytical and other quality parameters
* Developing manufacturing processes for new products, including upscaling to pilot scale
* Creating analytical and quality procedures to ensure product functionality
* Developing new applications for existing or new products
* Supporting the Production department with any arising issues
* Managing the R&D Laboratory and its personnel
* Setting equipment and technical standards according to requirements
Your Background:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science, Mineralogy, or Polymer Sciences
* Willingness to perform practical lab work
* Experience in analytical procedures, especially spectroscopic methods
