Here at Amazon, we are currently seeking experienced Operations Shift Managers to join our team and play a critical role in leading associates within our Delivery Station in Eastern Creek.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates
2. Maintaining health and safety standards while promoting a safety culture
3. Collaborating with support teams to meet business objectives
4. Identifying and leading process improvement initiatives
Working conditions:
The shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off; flexibility is essential as the site operates 7 days a week. Working times are flexible to include nights and days.
A typical day involves:
Inspiring leadership within our Delivery Stations, improving delivery process efficiency, and ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and promptly.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
* Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related fields
* Proven management experience with sizable teams and relationship-building skills
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
* Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA, etc.)
* Ability to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with Lean or Kaizen methodologies
